Who is ready for a fun, family-friendly mountain bike ride along the iconic📍Wandin North Trail Info Hub to📍Yarra Junction - Warburton Rail Trail on Sunday 16th August?
This historic, closed railway trail features a flat-to-gentle gradient & an unsealed, hard-packed gravel surface. It cruises through scenic open farmlands, peaceful floodplains, & historic rural towns, making it safe & easy for riders of all skill levels.
Choose Your Distance:
We have two riding options so everyone can participate at their own pace:
Option 1 🚴: (Shorter Ride) Wandin North Trail Info Hub to Woori Yallock (11.5km one-way or 23km return)
Option 2 🚴: (Full Ride) Wandin North Trail Info Hub to Yarra Junction (20km one-way or 40km return)
Event Details & Safety:
The Plan: Everyone will start together at Wandin North with plenty of chances to take a few breaks & happy snaps 📷 along the way.
The Terrain:This easy, flat trail is great for families and kids. The ride toward Yarra Junction has a tiny 39-meter climb and a gentle 104-meter slope down. The way back has the opposite, making it a simple and fun trip for everyone.
Supervision: All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Facilities: Public toilets & fresh water💧drinking stations are available at the main township hubs along the way.
Weather: All riders are welcome! We will keep a close eye on the weather 🌧 forecast leading up to Sunday.
Food & Recharge: On arrival to Yarra Junction (Skate Park), we’ll take a break & have a have a bite to eat 🍽, re-charge before making our return trip back to Wandin North.
